5 Training Mistakes That Are Killing Your Hard Earned Gains!!!

It’s very obvious to commit mistakes when you are new to something. Having said that, it’s also very important to learn from those mistakes and not commit them again. Likewise, Bodybuilding is also about learning from mistakes and not repeating them again because when you are in the race of attaining top class physique, even a small mistake can be a major setback. Look for these simple mistakes in your workout routine that are killing your hard-earned gains!

 1. You are not pushing your limits.

No matter who you are and what you do, if you don’t push yourself beyond your limits then there’s no way you are gonna succeed. Success is all about getting out of one’s comfort zone be it in or out of the gym.

Don’t ever keep yourself away from pain. Do everything – heavy weights, fast reps, small rest periods, more sets, anything that makes your lazy ass a bit uncomfortable.

2. You have a monotonous workout routine.

Elaborating the point 1, don’t stick to a workout routine for long period as it’s in the nature of a human body to adapt to workload and stresses it is subjected to which ultimately leads to Plateau.

So to avoid hitting a plateau, you need to switch the things up like quite often. Change your workout routine by including new moves, different rep and set schemes, more compound movements after every 4-6 weeks so as to get those fresh new gains everyday.

3. You don’t have REST DAY in your Routine.

Pushing yourself beyond your limits in no way means that you need train as hard as possible everyday. Look for quality in each of your training session rather than looking for quantity and total time spent at the gym. Most of the time, in an urge to build muscles quickly, people over train without due recovery periods. That’s certainly not gonna help in long run. Even Arnold suggested training no more than 4-5 times a week.

Get 4-5 quality training session in a week with proper recovery period rather than hitting those barbells and dumbbells daily without due rest.

4. You don’t have proper pre and post workout nutrition.Food

If bodybuilding was all about hitting the weights, then everyone would have been as great as Arnold and Ronnie Coleman. Unfortunately, it’s not that simple.

More than curling weights, bodybuilding is about staying clean on diet and getting in those muscle building foods day in and day out. No matter how hard you train or how intense your workout is, you are gonna get diminishing returns if you don’t fill your plate with bodybuilding foods.

5. You skip warmups.

Most of the people (especially beginners) that I have seen in the gym are always in a kind of rush to hit those 3 sets of 10 reps. But little do they understand that it’s not about who gets under the bar as early as possible. Know that the effectiveness of a workout depends on how effective the blood flows to the worked body part. And hence, it is advised to get in short dynamic warm up before curling and hammering those heavy weights. Not only does it increases the blood flow to the worked body part but also saves you from possible injuries.
